I just thought that I'd upload my new packaging design for my range of "Clockwork Memory Keys". Obviously each packaging design will vary slightly to suit its inhabitant & depending on wood etc, but after many (very complicated!) designs, this is the one I've settled on as its simple, smart looking & displays both sides of the key when stood up.
The bolts are just tightened with your fingers, so no tools are necessary & the plexi-glass protects the key from any bumps and scrapes during transit.
If you have any ideas for packaging, let me know as I'm always interested in improving my products!

That makes me think of a window XP You could totally do a window type setting somehow in these cases, maybe even a tiny door looking thing - that'd be awesome ;)

These are amazing. Are they waterproof?

Very nice!

Instead of tightening Screws with your Fingers, you could make "Fake" screws that hold onto some magnets.

In this way opening the box is more comfortable

Or, have one of the bolts be practical, and the rest be magnetic, so that the glass is pivoted to open the case! These are so pretty, though, that undoing the screws is still worth all the trouble!

I love your works! Your usb keys are great. although I will admit it worries me that your destroying pocket watches that are "over 100 hundred years old" for devices that will realistically only last (or be practical) for a few years...

If you have read the discussions on some of my other keys you will find I only take apart broken watches that no longer work and cannot be repaired. Instead of them being sat in a draw somewhere not being used or worse scrapped, I take the parts and make them into functional pieces just in a slightly different form.

in that case, keep it up! wonderful work. :D
( i didn't mean to sound so prissy in the previous comment, haha. I just love pocket watches)

I love steampunk, I only wish I was talented enough to make something myself... I am going to try making some stuff at some point though

Very nice! The only suggestion I can think of right now would be to cover the edge of the plexi-glass with a thin strip of metal, or use metal leaf to give that illusion...to give the impression that the clear stuff is glass instead of plastic, which would jive better with the turn-of the century look, I think.

How much do these run, in general? I checked out your etsy store, but since everything is sold, I didn't see any prices. These are beautiful, and I'd love to own one one day. Feel free to note me.

your keys are really pretty. ^_^ It must be a lot of fun fiddling with those gears like that. I think I saw you say that they don't actually move, though, right? If they were actually part of the key somehow (I mean, besides just being there or even just moving), it would be really fun to watch.
