So this is Mechanical Memory key Number 5. It has taken approx 10hours mainly due to the detail and & having to strip down so many ancient pocket watches - I think I probably used parts from around 6-7 different pocket watches (from relatively new ones to watches over 100 years old).

The key is made out of a relatively rare & beautiful exotic wood called 'Tiger Myrtle' - the wood is beautiful but a pain to carve because of the strong figuring. it has approximately 20 Ruby's which look great when the key catches the light, & when the Keys plugged into a USB, it glows green from underneath the gears. I'm really quite chuffed with this key as it turned out great. The back of this key is unique as due to the design of the memory stick I used, it allowed me to make a much deeper mechanism (in the second photo in the 3) that looks really quite cool!

Just to clarify, the gears themselves do not move, but the light gives the appearance of movement. I'm hoping that in the future I will get the gears to move, but currently its not possible. I hope you like it!

Wow! So much detail went into this! I love the finish on the wood; Somewhat old-fashioned and reflecting a by-gone era

Once again, AMAZING!
Your really skilled with wood, and it is a great use of time and energy, to create something so real, and visually stimulating. Keep it going full speed!

It's absolutely beautiful.
However, I'm a little disappointed, I thought some how, you'd created clockwork memory cards.. xD T.T
