My latest steampunk creation the I-Poise. A cross between an ipad stand and an angle poised lamp.
It has taken 20 hours to hand craft from aluminium, brass and hyedua wood from start to finish. It not only holds the ipad securely but also charges from the mains or can be connected to a computer with the 1.5m cable leading from the back. The stand features an adjustable arm which moves up, down and forwards and backwards. The whole arm can be rotated 360 degrees and the dock itself rotated between landscape and portrait. I installed weights in the base of the stand to ensure it does not tip when the arm is extended even with the heaviest of ipads. I have added springs to the joints to ensure stability and to secure wires for the dock.
I have made this stand in a modular fashion so that it can be taken apart with an Hex/Allen key for transport, to replace parts and also to modify it in case of a tablet pc upgrade.
It is not yet up for sale but when available will be listed on my etsy shop([link])

Absolutely! There just wasn't really anything on the market (in my opinion) that really took advantage of the iPad's 'desktop' credentials, so I thought I'd have a go! I'm hoping to start producing them for sale before the end of this year.
